Chemical Leak in Garden Grove

As our coverage moved from weekend programs to our weekday programming, the threat of a catastrophic explosion from a chemical vapor leak in Orange County, California, was ruled out after officials discovered a crack in a failing tank at GKN Aerospace Saturday night. Concerns of a smaller explosion still remained.

For this I found people who were evacuated from their homes and unable to return. I secured access to the evacuation center, spoke with the food truck operator to let us film inside and outside of their truck as they donated meals to those affected and I got the interview with Jacquelin Riegos who had been evacuated with her dog Jericho.
