lV Solar Panels
On this piece, I shot, produced and edited this myself to air on our CBS Evening News Plus program.
It was a big accomplishment for this edit to make our broadcast as it was the first time I was able to use my editing skills on top of my usual producing/shooting. That was a goal I had outlined from the beginning of my tenure at CBS News National and it felt great to reach it.
LV tourism decline
For this story we needed a local business’ take on the decline of visitors in Las Vegas and their impact on the local economy. I called around Fremont Street until I found Nacho Daddy. I booked the interview, shot it as well as the rest of the video. I was also the producer/photographer for the live shot.
mT Tourism Downslope
Producing/Editorial Contribution: For this story I traveled to Whitefish, Montana. When I was assigned this story, I was tasked with finding a small business owner that has felt a decline in earnings due to Tariffs. I found Jandy, the owner of Rocky Mountain Supplies and booked him for an interview with us to discuss how the Economic Downturn. I contributed to the questions asked
Videography/Editing Contribution: I shot this entire story and each of the 3-camera interviews myself. From shot angles to lighting and audio. I also contributed to the editing of the package, with many of the shots being from my cut of the story.

nM’s Hatch Chiles
As a Mexican-American in the southwest, the Chiles from New Mexico and the multitude of ways they can be utilized in culinary concoctions has been a staple of my life. When I was in Albuquerque NM, covering a new gun safety ordinance in the city, I learned that the State Fair was occurring. I spoke with the correspondent I was working with and we pitched a story on the Hatch Green Chile and the state fair and offered it to our Saturday Morning show. We spent the afternoon and next day booking the individuals seen in the piece. I was the solo producer/shooter on the project, I also heavily contributed in the writing of the story.
